Art Osaka—a super cool art fair for a way-too-hot Japan­ese Summer—will infil­trate the inter­na­tional art world on July 7th and 8th this Sum­mer. Rep­re­sent­ing over 50 gal­leries rep­re­sen­ta­tive of the inter­na­tional and local art stage spe­cial­iz­ing in con­tem­po­rary art, Art Osaka is proud to show off high-quality artis­tic tal­ent from both estab­lished and emerg­ing artists. There is some­thing here for all art lovers. Art Osaka is pleased to announce that rep­utable gal­leries from Tai­wan, Korea and China diver­sify the artis­tic line-up. We look for­ward to the debut of Kanazawa, Gifu and Hokkaido gal­leries along­side those from the Kan­sai, Nagoya and Tokyo areas.
Art Osaka 2012 is also proudly orga­niz­ing the “Japan­ese Con­tem­po­rary Art of the 1960s and the ‘70s” spe­cial exhi­bi­tion focus­ing on the Gutai Art and Mono-ha post­war avant-garde move­ments. The art fair and spe­cial exhi­bi­tion will be com­ple­mented by talks and sev­eral satel­lite events across Osaka.
