This year, over 50 galleries specializing in contemporary art are introducing works by both young and established artists to the public. We are pleased to announce that reputable galleries from Taiwan, Korea and China diversify the line-up. We look forward to the debut of Kanazawa, Gifu and Hokkaido galleries alongside those from the Kansai, Nagoya and Tokyo areas.
ART OSAKA 2012 is also proudly organizing the “Action and Abstraction: Japanese Postwar Art, 1958 — 1982” special exhibition focusing on the Gutai Art and Mono-ha postwar avant-garde movements, at the Nakanoshima Design Center, June 27 — July 11. An art tour – special package of the Art Osaka contemporary art fair culminating with the Benesse Art Site Naoshima in the breathtaking landscape of the Seto Inland Sea is also available for our guests from abroad.
